In today’s economic situation every penny is important and with the lacking job market it seems more and more people are turning to online jobs to supplement their income. One of the most popular online jobs is writing articles or poems. Although none of the “get-paid-to-write” sites pay enough to completely make a living from, they can be good for supplementing your income and for gaining an audience if you plan to become a serious writer. But which sites are better? Which sites will earn more? Which sites will give you a better audience? Which site is perfect for you?
I have been writing articles and poems since 2008 in order to supplement my income and to gain an audience for when I publish my books that I wrote in earlier years and am currently typing. In this booklet I will tell you about the sites for which I have written. I am not going to tell you which site is best for you because I’m not you and therefore feel it is not my place to do that. I plan to give you the information and let you form your own opinion as to which site would be best for you.
The sites that are discussed in this booklet are Triond, Helium, Squidoo, Hubpages, Viewshound, and Expertscolumn. These are all sites which I have written for or for which I am still writing. The most important aspect is usually how much the site pays, but to accommodate all writers I will also be discussing the possible audience, writing guidelines for each, and how user friendly they are. Of course, payment also depends on your will to continue writing and to promote yourself on social networks. If you want to make more than just a few cents a month, writing cannot be a write it and forget it job. The website most likely is not going to promote your article for you. That’s part of your job. There are no get rich quick schemes here, but there are sites that can be great for building an audience and supplementing your income.
