Making a Home Made Corned Beef Burger

my cornedbeef burger We some extra corned beef at home the other day, so I thought I'd make another attempt to create another version of cheap burger patties.

Initially, I've tried the recipes of using a can of sardines to make the patties. Then I tried tuna flakes.. unsucessfully (i'll try it again soon).

This time I tried corned beef (I forgot the brand since I threw away the label after I opened the can.)

Note: This is experimental. The taste may vary with the amount of salt, seasonings and kind of corned beef that you will use.

Ingredients:

  •  2 medium sized eggs
  • 1/2 medium sized onion
  • 3 cloves of garlic
  • 1/2 cup of corned beef
  • 2 spoonsful of  corn startch
  • some salt and spices
  • cooking oil

  1. mince the onions and garlic.
  2. crush/mush the corned beef.
  3. beat the eggs
  4. mix the corned beef onions and garlic to the egg.
  5. add some salt and spices (I used some maggi magic-sarap) to taste.
  6. add the corn starch to the mixture.
  7. keep stirring until all the ingridients are evenly mixed.
  8. on a low flame, heat some cooking oil on a frying pan
  9. use a spoon to form the pattie on the frying pan
  10. remove the pattie from the pan when it's golden brown. (or darker if you prefer)

Again, this is an experimental recipe based on the sardines burger. One egg will do if you use less corned beef. or add another egg and cornstarch if you want to use more corned beef.

Hopefully, I can do the tuna flakes burger perfectly anytime soon. The flakes makes it hard to form the pattie.

enjoy.
