RedGage Tutorial:  Advanced Search 

RedGage has multiple search options, so we are going to take a closer look at our options!  If you are looking for basic search information, check out the Basic Search Tutorial .  It explains the search functions and how to find the content you are looking for on RedGage. Did you know that you can search by user? 
If you click on any user's profile, you will see that the search bar changes.  The search bar will now say 'by {username}' and if you use the search bar on a profile page it will only search that user's content.  For example, if I type 'DOG' in the search bar when it says 'All Content'- all of the results will be from any user and any type of content on RedGage.  If I know that I am looking for a particular dog blog that Markality wrote, I will type 'DOG' in the search bar on his profile where it says 'by Markality'.  Basically, this will filter the search results by content creator.

At any time, you can type 'by {username}' into the search bar to filter content by a particular user.  Simply type ‘by jgsuarez’ or ‘by crazyredbeard’ into the search tab and all of the content from that user will appear.  After that, you can narrow the search with the content category tabs (blogs, photos, videos, documents, and links).

Just make sure to add the word 'by' before the username.  If you want to go back to All Content from All Users, make sure you are removing the username from the search bar or heading back to the homepage again.
