It was a treat to watch these Asian water buffaloes 🐃 #kerbauhitam quietly emerging from the moat surrounding #AngkorWat at the crack of dawn. Still waters, intermittent ripples, orange sky 🌄 the morning dew, mozzies, the smell of freshly cut grass, pandan, frangipani, and—the silent presence of other living beings, initially oblivious, but startled by your own peculiar presence. Flight or fight? Neither. As they passed, I could only marvel at our own Planet Earth and its inhabitants. It’s strange to feel so small and big at the same time. I suppose this how it is to feel alive. They say great beasts once roamed this world. One day, all these will be gone. Our bones will turn to sand and our dreams forgotten. Until then, live in the moment and appreciate all that we have.
