MEET THE LEADERS: JEFF ( @grinzler ) Hey guys! My name is Jeff and my Dance nickname is Grinzler. I am thankful for the great Mama Tempa for allowing me to be one of the leaders of #houseoftheunderground from far away. I consider myself to be a hybrid dancer overall with Shuffle and Jumpstyle inspirations. I wouldn’t go as far as to say I’m a Shuffler or Jumper individually but I love to mix Melbourne with Ownstyle to different genres. 🪩 A little about myself I started jumping actually when I was 9 years old and I started with the old school style of jump between 2009 and 2012. Long story short I danced old school at my middle school talent show and got booed off stage because at the time Jumpstyle wasn’t really known or popular at the time. I never gave up and since then I have had the privilege of being a Jumpstyle national champion in 2022 and a 3 time member of team USA in the Word Jumpstyle Cup nations league. I knew of shuffling but I didn’t really pick it up until I moved down to Florida to go to school and get my degree in Mechanical Engineering. During that time I was able to have the privilege of meeting the great Papaturnt and that’s when I was fully inspired to try shuffling. 🪩 Favorite Genre of Music My favorite genre of all time will be Hardstyle and that also includes Rawstyle, Acid Rawstyle, Hardcore, Frenchcore and Fuarkstyle. 🪩 My goals for this movement I want to give people that space to dance to improve and most importantly be themselves. I’m always going crazy when I see people dance and I love to bring that crazy goofy and dorky energy even if I’m dancing alone which is why I’m rolling over the ground and doing some random sidestep that makes zero sense in the B roll of this video.
