We know how to organize ourselves without the government, we did it in 2017 after the earthquake, and we are doing it again. Thousands of restaurants and businesses decided to close, a lot of people is at home now, we took action, we prevented more deaths. The government finally today said that next week museums and movie theaters among other businesses are closing, our president’s response was slow, but we, the AHIN1 survivors, didn’t wait for him to act. We know how a epidemic works, we were the center of the outbreak in 2009, we saw how our favorite restaurants went out of business and never came back, we understand the fear and the anxiety and we acted accordingly. Today the whole world is on hold, we fear not only for our health and our loved ones life, but also for our jobs, businesses and savings. This shall pass, like the AH1N1 passed too, we will travel, eat out, go to the movies and attend concerts. But for now we will rest and wait.
