99% of the time when your bird is acting sick, it's 10x more ill than it is acting. Boo had me totally scared because ever since Arthur bit me last week, Boo had been fluffed up and shaking in the corner of his cage not wanting to play. It lasted more than a week so I took him for a check-up. He was so anxious that he had a seizure when the vet toweled him. His gram stain came out clean and he is otherwise healthy. I was given the option of discussing antianxiety medication, further testing and bloodwork because of the seizure, or just watching and waiting. I have just decided to watch him close. at some point it would be nice to get extensive and expensive blood work done, but it’s not in my budget right now 😢. I'm just relieved that he's okay and not as sick or sicker than he has been acting.
