Dear 2018, You’ve been so MUCH. You’ve been fear and joy and strength and heartbreak and challenge and love and pain and laughter...so much laughter. You’ve been a mess and also a surprise. You’ve been loud but also sometimes just a whisper. It was easy to get caught up in your MUCHNESS and forget the tiny moments. The morning cups of coffee. The silent car ride. A quick stroll around the block. The feeling when the sun warms up your face or when then quiet sounds of rain sync up to your heartbeat. 2018, you’re one for the memory books. I’ll never forget you. You brought me a new chapter: my 30s! You taught me when to keep pushing and when to let go. You reminded me that this is just the beginning. You taught me to be brave. To try it all. To say yes. I’ll miss you, 2018. I’ve grown so much with you. And I have so much more growing to do yet. So cheers to the end and cheers to the beginning.
