This peak is famous for the Nose shape where it got its name from the Duke of Wellington. The peak nose looks quite similar to the Duke’s nose and it is indeed a splendid place to visit.
• Bhaja caves-The Caves have a speciality as it is the collective name given to a group of 22 rock-cut formations which are perched atop a hill near Lonavala. All of the caves are very old and date back to the period ranging between the 3rd century BC and 2nd century AD from the time of the Hinayana sect of Buddhism. The place is famous for its inscriptions which arefound on its pillars.The most prominent structure amongst this group is the Chaityagrha is the splendid wooden architecture. The scenic mountains view from here is really a beauty that must not be left out.
• Lohgad Fort-Sightseeing beauty at Khandala and Lonavalais the famous Lohgad fort. The place which was actually a prison was built at the times of ChartapatiShivaji, is known for its four walls which are still in its same state. • Bhushi lake-Being a placid water body, formed by the watercourse of Bhushi Dam, the Bhushi Lake is situated in the outskirts of Lonavala.  The place is near the city so is why it is considered as an ideal weekend getaway by local residents.
