We are always adding tools to improve your earnings on RedGage. From the contest on the homepage, to our Money Maker Memos, we are here to grow with you! Here are a few tips on how to customize your content depending on which pages get you the most views:
Analyze your Views
Pay special attention to which types of your content are making more money than others. Do your flower photos receive more views than your family portraits? Do your political blogs receive more comments compared to your fiction pieces? You can determine the popularity of your content based on views, comments, ratings, and whether or not users are 'favoriting' your work. Personally, I find that my photos and blogs get more attention than the links that I post. Taking these observations into account, I can prioritize my time and energy.
Customize Accordingly
Listen to your audience. If you are finding that certain topics or types of content are popular, consider it your niche! RedGagers seem to have knowledge in every genre across the board! Let us say that your blogs on nutrition created interest among users. Why not expand? Write a second chapter and possibly send a message to the users who were interested in the first blog. You might be able to create a following just by holding onto interested RedGagers. Turn those pieces into collections and update your RedGage friends so that they can follow your work.
Cross Post your Content
Just because you have posted your material under one content type, don't forget to exhaust the other categories! I am going to refer to this as cross-posting. It may feel repetitious to you, but cross-posting your content increases the chances of getting views.
For example:
You have poetry that you have posted somewhere else online.
A) You can post a link on RedGage to your poetry site
B) You can post your poetry in a blog on RedGage.
C) You can choose both A and B. Why not do both?
This way, you are receiving traffic under the link tab and under the blog tab. Increasing the chances that your content gets viewed is half the battle. There are so many wonderful pages of content on RedGage and it is easy for our posts to get lost. You might find that your writing gets 'found' more often in the blog section compared to the link section. Cross-posting your content can also help you analyze how people prefer to receive your work. So instead of just posting my photos as single photo uploads, maybe next time I also add those photos to a blog with a few short stories.
