RedGage Tutorial: Basic Search
The RedGage homepage (www.RedGage.com ) offers a variety of options when it comes to searching for content. Here is a quick guide to the search basics:
The Search Bar on the main page allows you to search for content within RedGage. You can use this to search a theme, topic, place, color, art technique, etc. You can also use this to search by username (ex: by eahauser) if you are looking for content from a specific user.
The Content Tabs under the RedGage logo, allow you to view content in a specific content type (Blogs, Photos, Videos, Documents, and Links) or by All Content. These tabs will filter out only the type of content you are looking for. The drop down bar next to the Featured Content will allow you change to ‘Most Recent’ Content or ‘Random’ Content. These searches will result in content from all RedGage users and is handy for browsing!
The Drop Down Bars above your search results, allow you to change how your results are viewed. Once you start searching, you have the ability to switch the organization of your results by using the drop-down bar to pick from Most Relevant, Most Recent, Most Viewed, and Random content.
The Popular Tags listed on the right side of the homepage are links to some of the common tags on RedGage. This box is an ever-changing word bubble of popular topics and tags!
The Categories Box on the homepage is another way to find content on RedGage based on relevancy. The topics listed in the Categories Box are some examples of the diverse content in the community. If you are specifically looking for one area of content (ex: sports, animals, politics) use these links to breakdown the categories. Similar content appears on the right-hand side of any content page, so if you like what you are looking at you can keep clicking!
