THE ACT OF VANDALISM
This info-graphic entitled ‘the act of vandalism’ provides us an overview of lawsuit designed for vandalism. The Vandalism Act is a statute of the Parliament of Singapore that criminalizes a number of different acts done in relation to public and private property, namely, stealing, destroying or damaging public property; and, without the property owner's written consent, writing, drawing, painting, marking or inscribing on property; affixing posters, placards, etc., to the property; and suspending or displaying on or from the property any flag, banner, etc.
It also states that if a person is convicted of any act under this Act or is found guilty under this Act and is subsequently charged with another offence arising out of the same facts or circumstances as those for which he was convicted or found guilty under this Act (except where such other offence is committed after 4 years after his conviction), then he shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not exceeding 5 years or fined not exceeding $50000 (whichever is more severe).
