Back in April this beautiful lady who grows flowers at the outskirts of the city ran out of water. Mother’s Day her most profitable day of the year was around the corner and the rainy season refused to start, leaving Gloria in a very difficult position. We decided to make a flowers pre sale, and charge an extra fee to buy a water tank for Gloria. Our followers were awesome in only 1 day we managed to sell 800 USD, enough money to buy water and flowers bouquets. We gave Gloria the money for water and waited to her low season to ask her for the flowers, this way we can help her reactivate a slow month. Today our followers will pickup their bouquets and Gloria came to deliver them and stayed a little bit to meet some people. Thanks to everyone who donated and bought bouquets. Gloria is a very special friend of mine and it warms my heart that so many people rushed to help her stay in business during this specially hard year. Gloria and her family grow flowers at their beautiful house, she’s 76 years old and still works in the fields picking flowers and keeping the farm clean and healthy. She’s the strongest woman I know and one of my most special and amazing friends. I lost my grandma many years ago, but this lady came as a great substitute and makes me so happy to be able to help her sell more flowers and share a bit of my network.
