Hi! My first post and first piece of poetry I'd like to share with you all!✒️ It's inspired by Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes. It's a book about a young girl named Sadako who lived in Hiroshima during World War II. After being diagnosed with leukaemia, a result of the atomic bomb dropped on her city, Sadako remembered an old Japanese legend that promised that anyone who folds a thousand paper cranes would be granted a wish.
