Deep post that I’ll probably delete..... This is not a post for sympathy this is a post to ask for our mental health services to be faster and more efficient. A year ago yesterday I made the post in the screenshot above. Lots has changed since that post. Atthe end of last year I began to really struggle with my mental health, in a way that was new to me and couldn’t handle. I stopped looking after myself and in all honesty started putting myself in harms way. Since the start of this year I’ve had countless breakdowns, spent nights in the dark sobbing walking the streets. I have many panic attacks at work and trying to hide that while being under stress is not easy. I have some INCREDIBLE friends who are so supportive but I was in dire need of professional help, which I seeked. My GP has been incredible however the services I have been referred to have been shocking. It has been months and I still have received no real help. I don’t blame the services. I blame the lack of funding and the lack of people who have the power to change this taking mental health seriously. Again This is not a post for sympathy this is a post to ask for our mental health services to be faster and more efficient. We need help and we are trying.
