It’s pretty much impossible for me to put into words how much these two have changed my life. And that’s not hyperbole. When I was a kid I loved skating. It brought me so much joy. It gave me time to myself. It challenged me. And when I stopped sometime in middle school, it left a hole that I didn’t even know existed until earlier this year. I watched the joy and love Tessa and Scott have for skating during the Olympics and it made my heart ache. A couple weeks later I stepped on the ice and haven’t looked back. Nothing over the course of the past 9 months has brought me more joy than skating. When I’m sad, tired, happy, stressed, I skate. I want to skate when I wake up in the morning and before bed. When I say these two have absolutely changed my life, it’s true. I can’t imagine my life without skating in it and that’s thanks to them. So naturally it overflowed and I shared it with people around me. There are some kiddos who now love it too and I’ve made the most amazing friends through the experience. That’s the power of joy and love. They spread much quicker and easier than hate. And while I forgot to actually tell them ANY of this when I met them lol, I wanted to share it with you all. Because the world certainly could use more love and joy and unabashedly going after what you want. If you can chase joy and love, you’ll be on the right track. ⛸❤️🙌
