Tai Chi Music

At the Tai Chi lessons I used to attend in the UK we did not always listen to what Is now mostly called Tai Chi Music, when the Chi Kung Lessons Started after the TChi sometimes we would be listening to the Radio or a soft rock and roll tape or cd.

I must say though as funny as it may be when practising the only music I like to hear is Tai Chi Music. Maybe it was a way for the Instructor to show his Students there really should be one kind of choice of Music when under taking tai chi practise. I remember one lesson when the Chi was high, the Master (well in his 60’s) went to the stereo and proceeded to turn it up.

I found this highly amusing but not just the act but the fact how it affected members of his class. There were a number of screwed up faces and very few beaming smiley ones at his mischievous act. I must say I have tried most of the different kinds of music when training (Pop, Madonna, Rock, House, Rave,) and nothing comes close to the effects of listening to Tai Chi music except of course Classical, but sometimes it is hard to find the classical sounds to fit and flow with your Form.

Tai Chi Music as it is today many will agree fits very well for the exercises of its practitioners. Not just for people who train in Tai Chi the calming and flowing effects of the music have been designed to offer calming and uplifting key tones promoting a Healing and Relaxing Atmosphere.
