I have to admit that I'm a bit worried about the future of this show since it is in the same slot where Eastwick was. Now these two shows together on the same night would have been a good fit. So I'm confused about this being on when ABC calls it Comedy Wednesday. Am I thinking too much again? Yeah I probably am but I really don't want it to go the way of Eastwick which didn't get a fair shot. And yes it does have a Twin Peaks vibe. Apparently that's been said a lot but since I live under a rock I never heard it and the commercials I saw didn't mention it. I just got it from seeing the commercials and getting that sneak peak of the first ten minutes or so.Since this was the first episode I don't know all the names yet so when I know the actor's name I'll be using that instead of the name of the character if I don't know it. So it started of with Romeo and Juliet having a secret date. She ends up taking a shortcut through the woods and hears something at the shed in the middle of nowhere. She leaves when it starts raining so it was smart of her to leave since the town perv was getting killed. Someone wanted to know something which he whispered only to get a railroad spike to the head. Ouch that had to hurt but it seems that people didn't like the guy because he enjoyed looking. Well I do too especially with a certain someone that happens to be on tonight but does that make me a perv too? Okay maybe you shouldn't answer that. So weird to see one of the Others as a Sheriff. So I'm going to just call him Other for now. His son is Tommy who happens to be married to Amy. She works at the bread factory and what a crappy time for a group of kids to be there for a field trip since Mrs Perv who I think was Friddle or maybe Griddle worked there. She attacked the Deputy with the flour since she didn't take the news very well. Hey Tommy and that other guy would fit in well with soap cops since they brought the widow into the station for questioning. Duh you don't do that when she's not the suspect. You question her at home but since she was there they did it there. So the Other went into some trance or something and went on about Chloe.Henley moves to Haplin or as they call it Happy Town. My isn't that real estate chick all peppy. Hell she's Chloe and what's up with the question mark on her shoulder? She moves into a boarding house with only the one guy. Hey Sam weren't you Merlin? I'm pretty sure he was unless I'm having a stupid moment which is entirely possible but I'm pretty sure that's the guy. He was in the mini series and I think he was Merlin but I'm pretty sure he was in it and Merlin. The landlady is very off. Ooh the third floor is off limits but damn it I want to know what's going up up there. It seems like everyone has the hots for Sam after all he's the one guy living with a bunch of gals. Maybe she knew the girl that got killed by the Magic Man.I want a Dunk The Dimwit Booth. Sheriff Other and his son Tommy went to see the Dimwit brothers who were making a dunking booth and drinking. The wife of the town perv thought they might have killed the guy but I'm thinking not. Oh my do I even want to see the girlfriend of that dude? He mentioned Chloe again but doesn't remember it. Tommy must think Dad is going nuts. But that was really sweet what he said about wearing his wedding ring how it was like he was still holding his dead wife Alice's hand. I guess I'll need some time to get over the creep factor of him being an Other on Lost which should be easy to do since I stopped watching that in 2007 since it was just too dizzy going back and forth in time like that.Hey it's one of the ass monkeys from Supernatural. Hey there Robert AKA Uriel one of the dick angels but this one got killed by Anna. Thank you for that since he was a real asshole. He's the boss at the station. I knew it wasn't good when Dad Other flipped out after seeing Sam at the pizza place. Hello there Abraham nice to see you on something. So there are two Whedon people in this show since he was Olaf on Buffy but of course he was also on ER and that Parker Lewis Can't Lose or something like that. He's a buddy of Tommy's but no clue what his name is on the show. Well it is just the first episode. It's not like I took the list of people and memorized it or something. That would just be weird. He goes back to the station and locks himself in his office where there are sharp objects. I'm not sure what he cuts off. It could be a finger or his hand but he goes on about blood and the Magic Man coming back. For the past five years there hasn't been much going on in the way of crime until the murder of the town perv. I liked it but because I said that because chances are it won't last after all look at poor Dollhouse and most likely Legend Of The Seeker and of course Eastwick and Pushing Daisies. I don't think it was a good idea to put it on this night but at least it gets advertised and on SoapNet too since that's where I saw the first commercial for it.
