There’s a new frozen treat in the offing. An eating-house in the old US of A, has been granted authorization to sell frozen beer on a stick – WOW!
Chef, Frank Morales, at the Rustico Restaurant in Alexandria, Virginia, apparently claims to have invented the rapidly growing favourite, when he accidentally froze his beer in the freezer and realised it could be a tasty treat.

So does this mean I can claim to have invented vino-pop. I accidentally froze a bottle of wine a few weeks ago – spit the bloody cork out, didn’t it – catastrophe - didn’t laugh!
It wasn't quite that easy though. Apparently Virginia has a law stating the beverage must be “served in its original container or immediately after pouring”. However, now that the restaurant can legally sell the “hopsicle”, the state is awaiting confirmation of the alcoholic ice-lolly's legal status.
My question is this - why pay good money out for someone else to freeze beer? Do it yourself, if he can do it accidentally, why can't you?
