What I would like to see from the iPhone 4g
Apple release season is almost upon us and as per usual the rumours and 'leaked' information is hitting online forums and tech sites hard!! All competing with very little to go on, most exaggerating the same snippet of fact.
Unlike most of the articles, posts and Hub's out there I would like to take a step back and instead focus on what I would like to see from the iPhone 4g just in case Steve is reading . . . you never know!! ;D
Camera - I assume will be at the top of most wish-lists, although that said I have managed to to snap some good photos on the 3g (check out my Hub). In order for the iPhone to continue monopolising the smartphone he new tech list must include a camera to rival he Sony Cybershot. The camera issues really do come down to hardware, the 4g needs really 5mp+ at the plus flash! Zoom is another basic feature missing from the 3Gs, another fault that cause Ericsson owners to chuckle.
Supported Office Tools - I'm writing this Hub whilst sat in the Hairdressers waiting for my girlfriend using the iPhones notepad, i figured it would be a good way to kill time. However I'm stuck, granted I can copy paste or email this to my computer but the Hub is by no means finished. I can't incorporate links, images or edit text size, font or formatting. All of this will have to be done at my desk. So it would be great if new tech could accommodate a feature rich Wordesque app. This must be possible, the app Tweetdeck (one of my top ten) allows you to insert links and edit text. I'm sure this would be welcomed by students and businessmen everywhere!
Global Positioning - I recently relied upon the Maps application to get me from A to B, it got me there but a tad vague as it provides an approximate location using the Internet. Inbuilt GPS would be a great feature and give way to accurate car navigation programmes in the App Store which could result in a surge of TomTom's on eBay - mine included!
Run Multiple Applications - Sometimes I forget that the iPhone is just that, a phone, not a computer. But Apple set he bar, and along with that come a level of expectations. Handling multiple applications would be a real bonus, allowing users to minimise or view multiple screens at once. It is quite annoying having to reload Facebook from scratch whilst I check My eBay! This could perhaps work similar to the tab set up on most web browsers, what do you think?
Aside from aesthetics (larger screen, thinner, lighter) what more could anyone want from the iPhone 4g? . . . Seriously? It's not a rhetorical question, please let me know what features you would like with a comment - climberjames
- Top 10 iPhone 3g Apps That I Cannot Live Without
Prior to obtaining my iPhone (granted only 3g) I owned an iPod Touch for a year, so I feel fairly well qualified to provide a balanced, time-tested review of what I feel are the most awesome apps available. - IPhone 3g Photography
Epic Huddersfield Skies - climberjames In my opinion the iPhone is the greatest phone to date, I would be lost without mine, albeit only the 3g model. One of the major criticisms however is the old school...
