Wedding Makeup Secrets

As little girls we dreamed about a beautiful fairy-tale wedding in which each of us is the most beautiful princess in a kingdom that everyone on your wedding day looks at with enthusiasm, sigh, waving and cheering to the princess' beauty. We're not little girls anymore, but a silent wish is for at least princesses look on our wedding day, therefore awake this desire and the princess in you. If there is a moment when you should spoil yourself and afford relaxation and beauty treatments, thenthe wedding day is that moment.

It is important to emphasize that wedding day makeup is somewhat stronger than the classic daily make up and is more similar to evening makeup. The primary reason for this is wedding photography. Daylight, light reflectors and lights in the room will fade and remove makeup in the photos, it is therefore necessary to put on consistent makeup which will emphasize your eyes, lips, cheeks in these conditions.

  1. Before putting on makeup on the face, neck and décolleté, a daily cream which will adapt makeup to your skin type should be placed on your skin which will serve as a protective barrier so that your make-up don't clog the pores. Quality foundation ensures makeup longevity and healthy and radiantcomplexion even during the night and early morning hours.
  2. Depending on the condition of the skin, we use different types of foundation: concealer, foundation, loose powder, pressed powder, powder spray mist, and powders with different additives - shiny powder or glitter.
  3. Concealer is a great tool for perfect make up. What else can very effectively conceal pimples, dark circles, scars, capillaries and other skin defects. It contains a high percentage of pigment and therefore should be applied minimally directly to the desired location, using a small brush.
  4. Liquid foundation is applied with a sponge, but the best connectivity is by lightly tapping with the fingertip due to the heat your fingers. The type and colour of powder adjusts to the colour and type of the skin because you do not want to look like you're wearing a 'mask'.
  5. Applying powder is the most important part of the make-up process because it is important that the face looks natural. Special attention should be paid to the neck, chest, shoulders and ears because it will be seen on the pictures. It is necessary to achieve a high degree of naturalness.
  6. If you want more prominent cleavage or for them to be visually increased, the effect will be achieved by loose powder shading, blush and bronzer.
  7. Once we equalised the skin colour, face and chest should be fixed with a special product: fixator for the foundation that provides better attachment to the surface of powders and durability through many hours of the wedding and the wedding dinner.
  8. The final detail is to spray the face, shoulders and décolletage with a waterproof spray powder with discreet reflections.
  9. Apply blush just on the cheekbones and apply layers slowly. Smear blush that looks natural. Remember, you want to emphasise the lines of the face. No matter how hard you try, you cannot apply makeup to create stunning cheekbones, and if you exaggerate with blush it might look ugly and ridiculous.
  10. After applying foundation and blush come the eyes. Pink is the most common look for a bride, and includes a white or beige eye pencil, women with blue eyes should not use white or pink blush or lipstick and a soft shimmer. When you put on your eyelashes, first apply a little mascara to the very root and then attach the false lashes as this will help you to put mascara on the lashes, and they will not fall off.
  11. And, of course, the lips. Define your lips with a soft lip pencil, a colour that matches the colour of your lipstick. After that, apply the lipstick in order to make your lips soft and appealing.

If your favourite lipstick comes off too fast but you do not want to replace it with more durable lipstick, because you really like it, before applying your favourite lipstick apply a little powder on the lips. Lipstick will adhere better and stay longer on your lips.

No matter what lipstick you use, there is one golden rule: make sure that the lipstick suits your skin tone, hair colour and eye colour. Also, while matte or pearlescent shades do not just look beautiful, they come out much better in the photos, which is the bride's priority.
