Seussical: A Review
Tonight my Husband and I went to my old High School to watch the music department do a performance of the Seussical musical. It is not the first time I have seen the musical; I saw it back in 2006 when I was a High School senior. I did not take part of it back then, although I wish I had. Comparing the two performances, I have to say they both went well. I may be biased because I had friends who were performers in the previous musical. This year’s performance had some good actors who were better than in the one from 7 years ago, while others who I thought were better back then. While many may not be fans of musicals per-say, I think that they would still be a fan of this musical. The Seussical is very comical, but of course it would be because it’s based off of some of Seuss’s stories. The story most involved in this play is Horton Hears a Who; the story of the elephant who hears tiny people (called Whos) on a speck and is bound and determined to save them. I enjoyed the show, and recommend that if it is being performed where you are, you should go to the show!
