How To Write Articles For Firehow
I began my article writing on the old ehow site. When demand studios took over control of the site, I left and soon discovered redgage. I also discovered firehow at about the same time. I knew very little about photography, and started out with a very cheap point and shoot camera. In the meantime I wrote a few articles for firehow. I quickly learned that even though firehow was paying, there was more money to be made on rg, so all my efforts went into rg.
Now with those earnings no longer coming in, and never knowing when our accounts will be updated anymore, it was time to start over, so I dusted off those older firehow articles and put up some new ones, I now have a library of 38 articles on firehow.
As it turned out, with recent events on rg, firehow is now out paying rg, so I am now focusing my time expanding my library of how to articles.
So just what is FIREHOW? If you ever wrote for the old ehow site, than you would feel right at home on firehow. The site is a HOW TO article site, in other words, all the articles you write have to begin with the words HOW TO.
The very first few times you submit an article, it may take 24 hours for them to get approved and placed up on the site for others to see. But after a few articles, your work goes live without any delays.

And unlike the new direction rg seems to have taken, tweets still do very well on firehow. My tweets earn between 10 to 15 views per tweet. My current tweets on rg currently only earn 1 to 3 views. And like on rg, the more views you get, the more you earn.

There are two ways to write a HOW TO article on firehow. One is writing a how to article outside the step method. The site allows this, but strongly discourages it. You simply add as many steps as your how to article needs. Also add links into the body of your article as well as a photo or two, it all helps make your article more valueable. Firehow also only features articles that include at least one photo.
Another neat feature is you can chose to save draft, instead of submitting for publication. This way, you can work on your article for as long as you want, until your ready to submit it. And once an article is published, you can still go into it at any time and edit it.
And much like rg content, once an article is published, it keeps on earning month after month for as long as you keep the article up.
