At times, we are fortunate enough to build a monument of magnitude in our lives from the ground up! But, it usually does not occur until a physical disaster, emotional devastation or psychological demolition of some sort clears the way for us. TOO often, We “get stuck” and will not move from our so called secure positions, never realizing we are rotting in the process. We grow more fearful of change; therefore, clinging ever more tightly to a recognizable anchor; even though we don’t realize we are drowning under the sheer weight of it, all. Call it duty, responsibility, ego, sentimental ties or a flat out refusal to move on, we sit like a bullfrog who has lost his ability to jump! How distorted and disfigured we have become while our lives beckon us with countless obvious signs, symbols and omens that is time to “let go”. Still, we resist. Then, IT happens…and we have no other alternative but to un- grip our clenched fists. First time in years!!!!
