It's Been a While but I'm Back ... With a Vengeance
First of all, a happy Easter to you all, and secondly, I'm so glad to be back on Redgage after a couple of years away.
I first began putting links, videos and blogs on RedGage eight years ago but then something disastrous happened to the site and I was unable to get my work uploaded, but I came back again couple of years ago but, due to life commitments, until now I've had to put my writing on the back boiler. How glad I am that I'm back - the site is now professional looking and modern and, as I'm currently unable to work following falling downstairs and having to undergo plastic surgery on my right leg, I need to pass the time and (hopefully!) make a bit of money while I'm at it.
I love writing and had always planned to make a living at it but unfortunately, as is so often the case, real life took over – mortgages, paying bills and full time working combined with writing for pleasure just don't mix!
At the moment I'm sitting with my feet up in front of a log fire – yep, it's mid April but the weather here in the UK is abysmal. It's dull and windy, but then what did I expect for the Easter weekend? Just par for the course!!
I really hope I can find something to write about which will appeal to the whole gamut of bods who publish and read articles on RedGage and my aim is to find diverse subjects. My main love is animals and wildlife. I'm a great fighter for animal welfare, love being outside either in the garden or wandering around the highways and byways of my gorgeous home county of Norfolk, UK armed with a digital camera. My other loves centre around cooking, reading, TV, history and moves amongst other things.
So, here it is – my first blog of 2017 and hopefully I'll find plenty of interesting stuff combined, from time to time, with a dash of humour. I look forward to making a few new RedGage friends along the way and let's hope my days with this wonderful site are a little more fruitful this time around.
