Let’s Eat!: Fullhouse Cafe
Taking a break from the travelog posts, I’ve decided to talk about places to eat. I enjoy checking out themed cafes, and one that I’ve enjoyed most is Fullhouse Cafe. I first visited this restaurant in 2011 (yes, a long time ago, I know), but I’ve returned several times since, with family and friends. So the pictures shown here have been taken on different days.
At first I was especially interested in visiting the Fullhouse branch in Penang Times Square as it seems to be a nice place to take pictures. But the service and food were good, and I returned for these. So far all the food I had here were good, although I personally don’t think the petit fours are worth the money spent. They are cute though!
My friend ordered the spaghetti al-funghi (spaghetti with mushrooms), and I had a sample – we both agreed it was delicious! However, my favourite main dish was definitely the wok-seared chicken chop. Just the thought of the sauce makes me drool, and I probably had this dish almost every time I went there. The pan seared dory fish fillet was nice, but not the best thing on the menu, in my opinion.
Although I do not particularly like the petit four, I cannot seem to decide on which dessert is my favourite. I’ve had the creme brulee several times and thought nothing could taste better, but when I tried the chocolate brownie it turned out to be just as heavenly! Ah, my sweet tooth is going to be the death of me…
Both the interior and exterior of the restaurant were decorated in a very cute fashion, with dining space and small knick-knacks for sale downstairs and a small hall for functions, a place with clothing stuff for sale and a salon upstairs.
I have not tried the other branches (there are several), so I cannot offer any opinion on the other branches, but the one in Penang is good, and is definitely worth a visit!
