Pot Lids While Cooking
Where do you put the pot lids when cooking? Most people leave the lids on the pots while the food is on the stove top. However, there are times that you don't need the lids over the pot to cook the food.
One thing to do with the pot lids is to leave them in the cabinet or drawer where the pots came out of. This way the lids will be right there in the corect place when you are ready to wash and put away the pots.
If you are cooking, you might want to leave the pot lids on the stove top or on the kitchen counter near the stove top. If you use the kitchen counter, make certain to put the hot pot lids on a pot holder or other heat-proof item. You don't want the hot pot lids burning the countertop.
