1.       Theme from “ From Russia with Love” (1963)

The song which was also titled the same as the second James Bond film after Dr. No, “From Russia with Love” became a classic song associated with this movie and brought popularity to then rising English singer Matt Monro. It was originally was originally composed by Lionel Bart of Oliver!

2.       Theme from “Goldfinger”  (1964)

Another James Bond theme song titled the same as the film, Goldfinger was sang by Welsh singer Shirley Bassey which unlike matt Monro had already established herself well in her singing career. Goldfinger reached no. 1 at US charts and actually gained for Shirley Bassey another opportunity of singing James Bond film soundtracks in “Diamonds Are Forever” and “Moonraker”.

3.       Theme from “Diamonds Are Forever” (1971)

Shirley Bassey had this second opportunity of singing this film’s soundtrack with the same title. John Barry again composed the soundtrack (his 6th time) and though producer Harry Saltzman hated the song (Diamonds Are Forever) for certain innuendo in the lyrics co-producer Albert Broccoli intervened which somehow settled the issue.

4.       Theme From “Live and Let Die”(1973)

A misunderstanding between Harry Saltzman and John Barry about the theme song for “Diamonds Are Forever” had grown complicated for the latter to take part in the soundtrack of this 8th James Bond film in the series. English composer and musician George Martin took over and it landed the theme song to be performed by ex-Beatles Paul McCartney and coincidentally the debut performance of Roger Moore as James Bond replacing Sean Connery.

5.       Theme from “The Spy Who Loved Me”(1977)

The 10th James Bond film on the series featuring Roger Moore on his 3rd opportunity for the James Bond role, this film’s soundtract composed by American composer Marvin Hamlisch has Carly Simon perform the song which also met success on the music charts.

6.       Theme From “Moonraker” (1979)

Shirley Bassey had her 3rd comeback performance for singing this film’s theme with Roger Moore’s 4th time to take the James Bond role. John Barry, coincidentally made a comeback as well to compose the song which had been out of schedule that it was passed on to Shirley Bassey to be performed at short notice lacking the opportunity for the latter to promote it.

This being the 12th James Bond film on the series and the 5th to star Roger Moore with Bill Conti and Michael Leeson doing their parts for the music and lyrics, respectively has Scottish singer Sheena Easton performing the song.

8.       Theme From “Octopussy”(1983)

The 13th James Bond film on the series has Roger Moore perform the lead role the 6th time. John Barry came back to prepare the soundtrack which had Rita Coolidge perform the theme song “All Time High”. The song spent 4 weeks at no. 1 on the US Billboard Adult Contemporary singles chart.

9.       Theme From Never Say Never Again (1983)

This film was an unofficial remake of the 1965 James Bond Film “Thunderball”. The title was said to have been inspired by Sean Connery’s wife’s words following his retirement from the James Bond role after filming “Diamonds Are Forever”. Connery told the press he will never play James Bond again. His wife reacted by saying  “Never Say Never Again” which became the basis for the title. Despite the film’s release 4 months after Octopussy, it made a substantial gross of $ 160 million out of $ 36 million production budget. American singer Lani Hall, wife of Herb Alpert performed the song for the film.

10.   Theme from “A View to a Kill” (1985)

This 14th James Bond film in the series has the British band Duran Duran perform the song with the same title. Roger Moore returned for his 7th and final James Bond performance with the alluring presence of Tanya Roberts as his leading lady.
