Carotid Shudder: What is Carotid Shudder?
Have you ever heard about carotid shudder? If yes, I must ask you “What is the carotid shudder?” Hearing the word “carotid” your mind must click the carotid artery. Exactly, it is about the carotid artery and its pulsations. 
Carotid shudder is a vibration or quiver that is observed at the end of carotid pulsation. Most often it is felt in the patients with aortic stenosis along with aortic incompetence. In other words, aortic shudder is a characteristic sign in the patients with aortic stenosis and incompetence. By the same token, carotid shudder is a clinical visual sign for aortic stenosis and incompetence.
Carotid shudder may be associated with inversion of T wave, R-T segment depression and left electrical deviation.
