Triplebyte (YC S15) Is Hiring an Operations Manager:
About Triplebyte Triplebyte intelligently matches engineers with companies based on their technical skills and interests. We don't ask for resumes, our evaluation process is completely credential-blind. The first step is an online programming test and then a background-blind technical interview focusing on just building something. Engineers who pass the process are fast-tracked through the hiring process at top technology companies like Dropbox, Airbnb and Stripe. We've an experienced team, the founders who have all built and sold companies before. Ammon and Guillaume founded Socialcam (acquired by Autodesk for $60 million) and Harj was the first partner hired at Y Combinator since its founding (you can read more about us here: https://triplebyte.com/about). Here are some articles explaining more about what we're doing: Why This Tech Recruiting Platform Doesn't Accept Resumes (Fast Company) Hiring Qualities for Programmers (Inc) Triplebyte Coding Bootcamp Study (Fortune) Former YC Partner Harj Taggar Is Building The New Technical Hiring Pipeline (Techcrunch) About The Role We're looking for someone to manage the day to day operations of the company as we scale the team. We're a small team and the role will involve doing a variety of thinks, including: - Customer support: Invoicing, phone support - Admin support: Booking travel, lunches, scheduling interviews/meetings - Event planning: Organizing events for our customers and users As with any early stage startup, this role is going to evolve over time. It's best suited to someone who is organized, pays attention to detail and likes assuming responsibility. Over time that'll be rewarded with more autonomy and ownership of projects. Our Mission We believe strongly in building a truly meritocratic, unbiased process for finding great talent. Even the best technology companies today still use where people went to college as a proxy for intelligence and ability. We're building a process that looks only at ability, not credentials, so we can have a future where everyone can focus on just learning and being good at what they do, not how they look on paper. Every aspect of running a company has been improved over the last decade, except hiring. Most decisions are still made using amorphous terms like "gut feel" or "culture fit". They should be made using crisp data. Only a company specializing on this problem, using data collected from the hiring process at hundreds of companies, can solve it. That's the company we're building. Our mission is creating a scientific method for identifying great talent and intelligently routing it to the best place. Starting with software engineers.
