Encephalocele is the rarest form of birth defect that affects brain and the skull. Surgeries put the parts of brain back into their proper place in the skull. About 20% of the babies are stillborn due to this defect.
By taking the proper dosage of folic acid and ample amount of Vitamin B this defect can be prevented. Moreover timely diagnosis will also help in fighting this defect.
