    Day of Mourning here in Tbilisi today April 9th In 1989 was the Tbilisi Massacre when the Russian Military used extreme force and killed 20 people here who were protesting about seperatism of Abkhazia. Some would say that day was the beginning of the end of the soviet union. Found an old BBC article about it - Strange parallels of what is starting to happen in eastern ukraine, i hope with a different outcome!
