Introduction :

Cherry is a small fleshy fruit with a core - drupe, spherical shape, usually red or less dark in color, more rarely yellow.

 

Wild cherry is called cherry, but in french : a merisier is different of a cerisier (cherry in english), a tree variant with a very small and dark red fruit. This tree is very close to the prunus which is recognizable by its pink flowers in spring.

 

This fruit can be bitter, without being acid.

 

There are 200 cherry variety, but only a dozen are grown. exist among three types: acids for eaux-de-vie and kirsch, English cherries and sweet cherry jam for the table


From mid-June to begin of august.

Origin: around Turkey,  Iran,  Ukraine,  Germany, Italy, Romania.


The main producers are Turkey and USA

The cherry is the sweetest red fruit composed in equal parts of fructose and glucose which are assimilated by the body very quickly (in less than one hour).

 

Excessive consumption is not recommended for diabetics.

 

This fruit is excluded for dieting because of its high caloric value.

 

Vitamin A has been recognized against cardiovascular diseases and against cancer.

 

Its potassium is diuretic and it is rich in fiber which is great for digestion. 

 

Potassium and sorbitol confer a drainage activity. This is an alkaline fruit. It actively fights against the acidity produced by physical exertion.

 

The cherry is sometimes indigestible especially cherries with firm flesh.  Cherry has a laxative effect (which cleanses the intestinal canal). Swallow aniseed before.

 

Cherry is a detoxifying, remineralizing one increases the natural defense. It regulates the liver,  stomac and is diuretic. it calms the nerves.

 

A cure of one or two day of cherries only purifies the body by encouraging the removal of toxins. However, this type of diet should not exceed 2 days because there is no protein in cherries. During the two days you'll feel swell due to water of the fruit. if you can not do this treatment,  then eating cherries in the morning for breakfast, but you must completely remove a diet based on carbohydrates, such as brown and white sugar, bread, pasta, French fries, mashed potatoes, the cakes, pizzas, jams, cereals, potatoes, vegetables seeds, fatty fish, beans, nuts, cheese. Eat salads, vegetables, fruits, and light meat or fish with blue scales.

 

Oil can be extracted from cores which have anti-rheumatic properties and fight against warts.
