How To Upload Videos To Redgage - My best tips

Uploading videos to Redgage is now something that is easy for me to do.  That is, unless they are too long, or I am too impatient.  To be honest, it wasn't easy for me at first, and I thought something was just wrong with either me, my computer, or the video itself.  Perhaps it could be with the site, I just wasn't sure.  I do know that at one point I just stepped away from it.  That said, now I have come full circle, and know what I have to do to upload at least shorter videos, which are the kind I usually take anyway.  Here are my best tips to tell someone, that walks you through the process which becomes second nature before you know it.

My Simple Video Upload Process:

*  Have your Video Camera itself handy, OR your SD card, or whatever it is you have your video stored on/in, on hand.  Also, make sure it is charged or plugged in to a power source, if it is your camera, so that the battery doesn't run out during the upload.

*  Reboot your computer, do a simple restart.  This seems to really help things, at least for me.

*  Make sure you have recently signed into Redgage, so that you aren't accidentally signed out, which has happened to me when I went to upload something.

*  Click that upload button on the upper right hand side of the pages on Redgage.  Click Video when you see the options pop up.

*  Hit the browse button, and search for your video location.  This may take a little bit of time clicking around, depending on your computer, but be patient, you will find it and it gets easier as you go.  Find it, click on that, then open.  It will put some date into that little spot on the bottom of the upload box.

*  Fill in the requested information, and adding many tags will help the first go around, because its best to not have to edit later if you don't have to.  So be thorough on this early end of things.  (Just my thoughts, based on my experience there.)

*  Click upload, and it will tell you that it is indeed uploading.  If you notice that nothing "seems" to be happening like when you usually upload things, don't worry.  It just takes a lot longer, in my experience.  Start with short videos so you know what to expect, if you have had any trouble.  (Like a minute or less, to start with....)

*  If you step away, and it still seems to be uploading, it is just taking some time, and at some point along the way it will say, "Processing".

*  After the processing stage, it will then go to a "saving" stage.  Please be patient for all these stages, even if nothing seems to be happening.

By Following the above steps you will be uploading lots of videos before you know it.  Have fun, and enjoy sharing your uploads with others.  : )
