Being a grandmother
I love being a grandmother. I enjoy spending time with them building memories. My kids never really had any memories of being with a grandmother. She was taken from them when they were young. I hate that they missed out on that. It is a special bond to share.
I try to take my grandkids to all kinds of places or just spend time with them. I want them to remember me as being a huge part of thier lives. I hope it is something special they take with them throughout thier lives. I know I will carry it with me even when I leave this place. I will then share those special memories with my parents.
I know my mother looks down on us in pride. She was the same kind of grandmother that I am today, after all I learned it from her. I enjoy those smiles that I get when they see something for the first time and I am there to share in that. Those sweet little hugs of excitement when they see you. Those are the precious times I treasure.
I am truly blessed in my life to have this opportunity to share in thier upbringing. I will make every moment count. I love them with all my heart and soul.
