Each day is a new chance to Bloom Where You Are. A chance to start over. A chance to learn something new. Just like a flower, each of us needs to be firmly grounded in our lives. By surrounding ourselves with positive people and a positive attitude, we develop the necessary soil in which to grow as individuals and to survive in a healthy way. The bible says, “What you sow, you shall also reap.” So, your outlook on life will determine whether you have sowed a good seed that will grow in positive ways.
Being comfortable with who you are as a person is the first step in saying, “I am me and that is enough for now.” Like a flower, we all have petals of experiences that grow from our center outwards. It is what is in our very souls that keeps us grounded in life. The strong petals are those that are still blooming. Happy moments in life that have been stored away as nourishments in order to let our flowers keep growing. The bad petals, are bad memories or mistakes from the past. These bad experiences… the dead petals have been allowed to drop back to the earth and given a chance to start all over. Our stems and leaves, are our morals in life. Our upbringing, the who and what we stand for in our lives. I like to think of them as our soil ,or our foundation.
So, Bloom Where You Are. Remember that you are in control of how you will grow in life and how your flower will flourish. Take care of yourself and know that it is okay to say no whenever it is necessary to stand up for yourself. Don’t be afraid to open up your petals, bloom in the sun, and then let go.
Nothing is more beautiful, then to see a single flower surviving in an unusual place. So, don’t be afraid to stand up for what is right in your life. Remember that you don’t have to be it all….who you are right now is enough. Remember to always consider your own needs, honor yourself each day, and to always Bloom Where You Are…
